Achieving Organic Search Engine Ranking

So, we know that alot goes to internet marketer into achieving high organic search engine rankings. In case you are unfamiliar with the concept of “SEO”, it refers to the art of modifying a web sites properties in order for that site to appear in the top search engine results on Google, Yahoo, Ask and MSN, for example.

Let’s talk about keywords in your Title and Meta Tags

To give your web site the best ranking ability possible, it is highly recommended that each page of the site include unique TITLE tag and unique META tags, individually tailored to the content of that specific page.

For example, if you are a flower shops owner. You may have a page devoted to wedding bouquets and another to funeral wreaths. They TITLE and META tags for the first page should include keywords relating to weddings and the page about wreaths should utilize keywords relating to funerals and sympathy.

The use of the tailored TITLE and META tags on each page creates multiple entry points to a web site and enables relevant content to be found in search engines no matter where it resides on a site. For example, instead of relying on visitors to arrive via the Home page, the optimization of individual site pages makes each page more visible in the search engines, providing additional gateaways to the site’s contents. The more pages optimized, the wider the range of keywords and phrases that can be targeted and the more entry points are created to a site.

Achieving Organic Seach Engine Ranking – Link Building

The reason link building is so important to high organic search positioning is that all the major search engines use link related variables in their ranking algorithms, the complex equations that evaluate a site on a myriad of factors and then use this data to determine which sites appear where on the results page.

So what incoming link related variables do the search engine algorithms consider?

• Number of links
• Quality/Original of Links
• Relevance of Links
• Anchor Text Within Links
• Links Must Present Value to Users.

Confused? Let me explain. Google, Yahoo and MSN, and ASK all consider the number, quality, and relevance of incoming links to your site when determining its rank (Incoming links that point to your website). Google has system called PageRank, the other engines operate within similar frameworks. Google has stated, “PageRank relies o the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual’s page’s value. “In essence, google interprets a link from Page A to page B as a vote, by Page A for Page b. But, google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page received; it also analyzes the page that cast the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important”.

Thus, the sites with the most links, or votes, must naturally be the best pages for the information being searched for. The site with the best content are linked to more often, boosting their search engines positioning, which in turn, makes them more visible to searches who will continue linking to them more often.

So going into deeper insider detailed search for keywords, to placing keywords in Title and Meta Tags, to writing good contents, and deep linking etc , an internet marketer (with highly demanded SEO skills) is vital for your business website to be visible to visitors.
